Describe a challenge that you’ve overcome in your career.
Being made redundant! It happens during economic downturns, changing of management or company restructuring. Fortunately, I’ve made wonderful relationships and always bounced back stronger and happier than before.
What piece of advice do you wish you could give your former self?
Be strategic! Think about your career in terms of longevity and years, not in the short-term. What do you want to be doing in 5, 10, 20 years and will this current position help you achieve that and get there? Also, what’s the hot, shiny new toy in your industry? What’s everyone talking about and in the zeitgeist?
What does allyship mean to you?
Find your people within your company and your industry. Ask for their guidance and insight along the way in your career and day-to-day work life.
