Coming from a range of occupational backgrounds—Executive sales, career counseling, training & development—Our team lends particular insight and expertise to the executive search process. We’re not only expert at what we do, we care about our candidates and clients.
David King, Chairman & Founder
David has the day to day privilege of observing a group of very talented women do things better and faster than he could ever do. If he were not the founder, no one would even ask who he is or what he does. And that doesn’t bother him one bit.
Cynnie King, President & Owner
Cynnie previously served as Vice President of an executive coaching, leadership development and organizational development consultancy, WJM Associates. She was Managing Partner of an international branding consultancy and a business development executive of several other strategic branding and marketing communications firms. A graduate of Colby College, she also studied at the Sorbonne in Paris. She co-leads day-to-day operations of the firm as well as playing an account management and recruitment role. Cynnie finds her bliss walking through Washington Square Park with her husband, David, and their rescue Pug, Sally.
"Careers for Women and David King introduced me to sales 30 years ago. It means so much to me to continue building this business— a firm with a great legacy and also a distinctive positioning: truly “executive search with a soul.” While the executive search industry has changed over the years, especially in the past seven years since I joined the firm, it’s thrilling to see that David’s original premise for the company has only become more significant: educating people to make smarter career choices. Together with our team of very talented career development professionals, we are making a difference and creating success stories for both candidates and clients."
Rachel Fagnant-Fassler, Vice President & Owner
Rachel co-leads day-to-day operations of the firm and plays an account management and recruitment role. Previously, Rachel worked as a personal and career counselor. She has a M.A. in Counseling from New York University and a B.A. from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). When she’s not in the office, you can find her running in Prospect Park, volunteering on the board of a CSA, or talking incessantly about the joys of Brooklyn life.
"I joined Careers as a graduate student. At the time, I thought that I was gaining invaluable skills that would inform my clinical practice. Ultimately, though, I found that my training enabled me to contribute the most to candidates and clients in career development. I love facilitating candidate career growth and working with a team of recruiters who light up when an individual lands his/her dream job. "
Charlie Russell, Senior Talent Consultant and Business Development
Charlie is originally from Australia, where she graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelors in Communication. She began her career working for the country’s largest online travel website, Wotif.com, taking on several roles throughout her tenure including Product Manager, Financial Disputes Officer and, ultimately, Head of Training and Development for the Customer Service Centre. Charlie began work as a recruiter at Careers for new business talent, combining her passion for working with people through career transitions and staff development. Outside of the office, Charlie dabbles in street photography--she loves helping individual personalities jump off the page through portrait shots. She’s also been known to whip up quite the impressive zucchini soup.
"Throughout my working career, I have always known that working with people and building relationships is where my strengths lie. At Careers, I have the opportunity every day to work one-on-one with candidates, helping them through the job search process. In addition to my work with candidates, I love the team I work with and the incredible depth of knowledge each person brings to the table."
Stephanie Kronenberg, Program Development Lead & Talent Consultant
Stephanie recently joined CFW after receiving her M.A. in Psychology from City College and her B.A. from New York University. Initially, Stephanie intended to pursue a career in research psychology with a focus on the impact of lifestyle and exercise on emotional and physical health. However, she soon realized that she wanted to play a more interactive role effecting change in people’s lives. CFW came to her at just the right time! She’s very excited to help candidates make the next step in their careers.
In her free time, Stephanie enjoys being dragged around Brooklyn Heights by her two dogs, Dempsey (a boxer) and Memphis (a rescue Pit mix). She also enjoys baking, and her apartment frequently looks (and smells) like a cupcake shop.
“In all that I do, I aspire to have a positive impact on others. At CFW, that goal has become a reality. It is such a pleasure to come to work every day knowing that in every interaction I have, I will at least provide someone with valuable information or feedback. I love being surrounded by a team of people who care as much as I do.”
Eugenia Neri, Talent Consultant
Eugenia is originally from Venezuela, the country of beautiful beaches and the world's tallest waterfall (featured in the movie Up!), and brings a much-needed second language fluency to the CFW office! She recently graduated from Boston College, where she majored in Psychology. After an undergraduate career filled with psychology research and clinical experiences, she realized that organizational psychology and its related applied fields (recruiting!) spoke to what she liked best about psychology: listening to and learning about other people's stories. On the weekends, you can find Eugenia eating arepas with friends or spending time with one of her many (23!) cousins in the area. In the wintertime, she’s been known to enjoy hitting the slopes on her snowboard.
Boston College instilled Jesuit ideals—guiding us to become men and women dedicated to serving others. Working at CFW Careers has allowed me to live that ideal. Every day someone shares with me a part of their story, and I attempt to give back by helping people navigate through a crucial aspect of their life, career development. I love coming to work with a team of passionate and dedicated individuals. We lead with kindness, both in how we interact with each other, as well as with candidates and clients. This environment not only enables me to grow professionally but also personally--something I am thankful for every day.
