CANDIDATE STORIES

I had the pleasure of working with the team at Careers for Women after I graduated from Colby. They were quick to empower me with the ability to discuss my past experience in a way that made sense to future employers. Not only did they place me on multiple interviews, they were also able to support me in learning about what the full career trajectory would be with each position. That educational process was the portion of our relationship that I appreciate the most. Going forward, I know that I can always use them as a resource throughout my career as questions arise!
— Dana R., Business Development Executive

From the bottom of my heart a huge thank you to you, David, and the rest of your team. For me it goes beyond the fact that you helped me with my career search, it is the fact that you believed in me and wanted not just to place me, but to find the right fit. You made me believe in myself and that means more to me than anything. I know this is just the beginning of my relationship with you all so I have the pleasure of looking forward to working with you in the years to come.

- Jared R., Account Manager

From the first time I met you and your team I have felt 900% more confident in all the decisions I have made! It has been a real pleasure working with you and your highly professional team. I am certain that the direction I am headed in is one that will be challenging, enriching, and most importantly, exciting. I look forward to it all with eyes wide open. With Rebekah's, David's and your guidance I have stepped into something that was beyond my expectations and genuinely thank you all for your help. I sincerely hope to maintain our relationship as time goes on.

I could not have been happier with my experience with CFW Careers. They truly take the time to get to know you, your career path and suggest positions that play to your strengths and fit your personality.

I’ve never worked with a recruiting agency that supported you along the interview process. Cynnie was available day or night, on the road or in the office to jump on a call and make sure I was ready for every step of the interview process. The Careers Team also provided encouragement and guidance on making the best impression, both in interviews and in follow up communication. Benefiting from what I learned along the way, I’m now passing along the guidance to my friends. Careers gave me the confidence I needed to succeed. I cannot be more appreciative!

I worked with other recruiting firms, and then I worked with your firm and thought, This is the way it’s supposed to be!

CFW has helped me shape our amazingly dynamic team in New York and Los Angeles throughout the past five years and I couldn’t be happier to recommend them. Rachel and MacKenzie are my go-to experts; they understand nuanced skill and culture fit and are always available for detailed feedback to make sure the potential hires are exemplary. Not only is everyone at CFW intuitive and razor-sharp, they are also incredibly warm and nurturing, a combination that has given me confidence in their abilities across the board. I’m always left with an incredibly positive feeling every time I’ve dealt with this company - try them out!

I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Careers for Women for helping me build my sales team over the last 6 years. After using a couple of other recruiters with mixed results, CFW opened my eyes to what excellence in recruiting really looks like.

I’ve had a wonderful career in publishing and Careers for Women definitely helped point me in the right direction.

I can’t believe it has been nearly twenty years since I first walked into a Careers for Women seminar and heard David King speak.  At the time, I was just twenty-four years old.  While I couldn’t quite say what is was that I wanted, I knew it was so much more than the dead end job in which I was stuck, earning just $21,000 per year.

I remember hearing David’s words and listening to the stories of the women he placed who were all earning over $100,000 per year, and I was hooked.  Before attending your seminar, I never viewed sales as a career that I would have any desire to pursue.  I viewed salespeople as pushy and wanted no part of that.  David changed my opinion of salespeople and set me on the path that would be my career.  And he placed me in my first sales job—where I too was able to earn $100,000!

But even more than the financial success, the skills I learned as a salesperson—persistence, resilience, determination, self-reliance and not taking rejection personally—were skills that not only shaped my professional success—but were skills that were applicable to every part of my life.

Throughout the past twenty years, David King has been a trusted advisor, mentor, and someone who could always be called upon to provide expert guidance navigating important career decisions.
